Helping the Family

It's Sunday. Chen Jie wants to help his family today. He thinks it's the Double Ninth Festival, so he can help a lot. He says, "I want to help too. What can I do?" He thinks, "I should help my father and mother clean the rooms." His neighbor says, "You can also help your grandparents cook and take care of your little dog." So he helps his father and mother clean the rooms, helps his grandparents cook, and takes care of his little dog.

Dad asks Chen Jie to set the table. Dad says, "You can put the plates and spoons on the table." Chen Jie sets the table very well. Dad likes it too. Dad praises him, saying, "You are a little helper who is good at doing housework."

Chen Jie's little brother comes. He is pure. He messes up the table. Chen Jie puts the plates back. Her father sees it and says, "You are really capable. Though you are little, you can't mess up the table." Her mother sees it too and says, "You are great." It's the Spring Festival. They are happy. Chen Jie says happily, "You are great too!"

They eat the fish and noodles. Mom says, "Chen Jie, you are a good helper." Chen Jie smiles. She likes helping others. Her mom and dad also like her to help others.
